Behind the Scenes: Bia x Bullyboy Music Video Shoot for "Trappe van Verslayking"

- - - -

Cape Town’s underground just got louder.

We recently teamed up with local artist and rising creative force BuhDuhBuhDuh (Bia) to shoot the official music video for her new single “Trappe van Verslayking” — a gritty, chaotic anthem with energy that hits like a sonic spray can to the face.

Much like the visuals of Die Antwoord, Bia's sound is raw, rebellious, and drenched in South African street culture. Her style doesn’t just push boundaries — it rips right through them. So it only made sense to bring the Bullyboy car, our beloved battle-worn ride, into the spotlight for this shoot.

The Bullyboy Car as a Canvas

In the video, Bia performs while spray painting the Bullyboy car, turning it into a rolling piece of renegade art. The act of defacing it with bold colors and chaotic lines became a perfect metaphor for the song’s themes — addiction, freedom, rebellion, and self-expression.

We’re not just a brand that prints logos. We create culture. So when Bia came to us with this idea, it was a no-brainer.

The Fit: 01 Baggy Trousers & Star Logo Tee

Bia rocked the Bullyboy 01 Baggy Trousers and the iconic Star Logo Tee throughout the shoot — both of which took a beating and kept it stylish. The trousers, rugged and oversized, matched the aggressive energy of the scene, while the tee added that classic Bullyboy punch.

Each garment is more than fashion — it’s armor for the bold, designed for movement, mess, and mayhem.

Cape Town Creative Collaboration

This video wasn’t just about promotion. It was about bringing together music, fashion, and skate/street culture in a way that feels real — not overproduced, not corporate. The entire shoot took place at our space, with a skeleton crew of passionate creatives, all local, all obsessed with building something raw.

Bia has always walked her own path, and it’s the same path we carve with Bullyboy — underground, unapologetic, and untamed.

The Culture: Where Art Meets Utility

Streetwear has always existed at the intersection of art and function. A good cap shields you from the sun. A great one starts conversations. These 1 of 1s are designed for both. They’re for the creative who skates by day and DJs by night. For the girl painting murals on Sunday and hitting rooftop parties by Friday. For anyone tired of seeing the same thing on every head.
